As he waited he pulled out his handkerchief and wiped his brow to remove the perspiration, which wasn’t just the result of the hot humid day. The doors opened and he found himself looking into a large open floor filled with desks then he glanced at the far wall and saw a series of offices. After he stepped out of the elevator he waited for his turn only partially paying attention to the receptionist who was busy arguing with a man who wanted to see someone without an appointment and was being denied access.
