My guest today is Hashi Mohamed, one of the UK’s leading barristers, a BBC broadcaster and author on social mobility in Britain. His book is out now, called
People Like Us. He is one of 12 children, Hashi came to the UK as an unaccompanied child refugee from Kenya in the summer of 1993 when he was just 9 years old. When he arrived he spoke basic English, attended failing school, raised on state benefits in a deprived area of North West London. Today, he is also a published author who attended Oxford University for his postgraduate degree and Bar School on a full scholarship. He is an incredible person, who inspires so many with his story of hope, ambition, success, resilience and adaptability. and I’m SO excited to share this episode with you!
