The Sisterhood

Listen in app
The Sisterhood is a collection of short stories about four incredible women through the centuries. At the Summer Solstice, the prophecy stated the greatest powers in the history of the sisterhood would pass down to the next daughter of Eve, imbuing her with an ancient and powerful energy.
The stories being with Sidonie in 1307, during the Knights Templar era. She's a feisty, brave woman, who has inherited the light energy gift bestowed by God. She is a Daughter of Eve, as all these women are. This magical gift is passed down the matriarchal line through the centuries, and these women's destinies are to eradicate evil from the earth. Sidonie fights to save the life of a servant girl from a satanic group. She is an inspirational character and is an early example of female emancipation in medieval times.
Next we meet Angelique. She lives in the 1500s, and doesn't realise that she's a Daughter of Eve, until she fights for her life and that of her unborn child. She discovers she's an amazing business woman, and secures her daughter's future, saving her a second time from evil.
After Angelique comes Gertrude. She's lives in the 1800s, and follows her parents footsteps who came to America on a long and arduous journey due to the potato famine in Ireland, then returned to Ireland. She was left in America with a wealthy Aunt at the age of eight, never to see her parents again. When she went to Ireland, she ended up working in a workhouse, and due to her ancestral gifts, found a way to save many children.
Finally, we meet Siobhan. A strong willed and energetic woman. Ireland was neutral during the Second World War, but Siobhan didn't care about that. She went about saving British airmen who crash landed in Ireland, as well as tackling an evil fifth columnist. She had eight children, but never told any of them about her incredible adventures. She was Nancy Flanagan's mother, and we meet Nancy in a future novel, 'Guilt'.
