Two-time Christy Award finalist Stephanie Grace Whitson’s Pine Ridge Portraits series, based in Fort Robinson Nebraska, is immensely popular. Now it’s World War II, and a group of Nazi POWs has been brought to Fort Robinson. The townsfolk, already heartworn from the loss of many men, are divided in their feelings about the prisoners. Whitson’s portraits will bring back some familiar faces and introduce new ones as the community struggles to come together in the faith of a God who loves unconditionally.
