After waking up from a nine-day coma in 1963, Roger Hinkins claimed his body was housing a spiritual personality named John. John-Roger went on to found one of the largest spiritual movements of the 1970s and '80s. But behind closed doors, Hinkins preyed on young members of his staff and claimed if they didn't comply, a dark spirit would corrupt them.
