Emma Viskic

Emma Viskic is the author of the critically acclaimed crime novel, Resurrection Bay (Echo Publishing, 2015). She has won both the Ned Kelly S.D. Harvey Award, and the New England Thunderbolt Prize for her short form fiction, and been placed and shortlisted in numerous other awards. Her stories have been published in Review of Australian Fiction and Award Winning Australian Writing 2014 and 2015. As part of her research for Resurrection Bay, Emma studied Auslan and spoke extensively to members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. Also a classical clarinettist, Emma lives in Melbourne and divides her time between performing, writing and teaching.
