P C Cubitt

P C Cubitt is a British crime and mystery writer. She is best known for her novels Fly Catcher (2021) and The Blue Alley (2025). Her work often deals with corruption, politics and justice in Africa.

Christine Cubitt was born in the UK and holds a PhD in International Politics from the University of Bradford. Her academic work has focused on African governance and international peacebuilding. She has contributed to academic journals and served as an editor for various publications.

Her doctoral research on Sierra Leone resulted in a book published by Routledge and research commissioned by the World Bank. Her further research has taken her to Liberia, Senegal, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Mozambique.

In Fly Catcher (2021), an unknown boy is killed on a palm oil plantation in West Africa. Karen Hamm, an investigator, searches for missing aid money but is drawn into a fight for justice. The novel was shortlisted for the Bridport First Novel Prize in 2023.

Cubitt's second novel, The Blue Alley (2025), follows Karen Hamm as she uncovers a child trafficking network. A chance encounter at an airport leads her into a dangerous world of organised crime and corruption.

P C Cubitt lives with her husband in Yorkshire, UK.
