There was no way Sirius missed him. At least, not like Remus missed him. Like it felt as though he had a vital organ yanked from his body, and was forced to learn how to live without it. As though he was shoved into a body of water head-first, unable to swim, longing for a single breath of air. Some days he felt Sirius’ absence like an open wound like he was unable to simply exist anywhere in the world when all he wanted was him.
