I was born in Zimbabwe to a French - Polish family. I spent my childhood in Southern Africa, where I could wander out into the bush with a sandwich and a book until the sun dropped down like a blood-orange. My studies there culminated at Cape Town University where I studied English and Drama and quickly became involved in anti-apartheid activism. I soon emigrated to London where I joined a community of South African exiles, continuing my studies in more diverse ways that included acupuncture and Chinese medicine. I practice acupuncture. I've written several plays - Salt River, Venus Bar, Postcards from the Swamp, Confessions of a Love Addict, The Writers' Block Workshop. I've also had short stories performed and published - Cafe Society, Ten Plastic Roses, Flash in the Park. I'm also an artist, a member of various vibrant communities of artists. Rules For Thursday Lovers is my first novel. I am working on a second.
