Bill Watson served an apprenticeship as a Cadet Engineer in the Blue Funnel Line. Later he went on to study at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne where he was awarded a BSc (Hon’s) in Marine Engineering. Subsequently he became a Eur Ing, FIMechE and MCIBSE. Later he went on to study at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne where he was awarded a BSc (Hon’s) in Marine Engineering. Subsequently he became a Eur Ing, FIMechE and MCIBSE. He worked in many sections of engineering including agriculture, nuclear, petro-chemicals and the National Health Service (NHS) where he was an Engineering Consultant mainly in heat transfer related fields. He also lectured at the University of Wolverhampton up to Honours Degree level.
