A trip to the south of France set me on the road of my writing career. I had itchy feet after that. The only way to survive and travel was to turn freelance. I turned my back on a staff job on Woman's Own nd struck out into the unknown. I was lucky. Editors liked my work and I was soon writing for all the big nationals and magazines. I travelled. I lived my dream in Italy. I wrote short stories based on the experiences I had. A plum job was writing about restaurants for the BA magazine High Life. All that gorgeous food and wine without a penny to pay. Then I went back to study. I took a degree and courses in creative writing and reinvented myself. My plays won awards. The most notorious of them was the examination of the relationship between Harold and Primrose Shipman. did she know he killed all those people? And so to Monet's Angels. In 2010 I visited the famous house and garden in Giverny, France and inspiration struck. My novel came out four years later. I am proud to say it has now become a best seller in the home of the famous artist. My passion for cats and desire to help the unfortunate ferals resulted in The Great Sicilian Cat Rescue, published last June. I hope as many people as possible will read this book for its aim is to raise awareness for these little souls.
