This interesting account of Charlotte's life adds depth to an understanding of her novel 'Villette'. In this a romance occurs which, it seems may closely resemble one in which Miss Bronte was involved, be it at a distance. The book reveals the content of letters written by Brontë to a certain Mr. Heger with whom she was romantically involved.
