It is the mid 1980's when Barbara Kemp shatters yet another glass ceiling as she takes responsibility for the premier freelance specialist team used by western governments for black operations without fingerprints. Her first assignment is in support of an allied government's operation against an IRA terrorist. An American officer is being used as bait to lure a deep cover explosives expert into the light where Barbara's new team will annihilate him — if it does not annihilate itself first. She finds herself dealing with lunacy at several levels in the men around her, including her British counterpart, while she struggles to find a way to save the American bait, the operation, and the team itself.
