An 18-year-old girl, the sole heir to the great house that is first among equals, finds herself fleeing for her life, her parents gone at the hands of an invading barbarian horde. She must then find a way to rebuild her estate and reunite the other four great houses. She is aided by her faithful ice bear with which she is telepathically bonded.
