On offer is a disposal programme for wealthy people who wish to divest themselves of wives, husbands, lovers, business partners – whomsoever. This yarn is not a fantasy and does not read as such. It is quirky; the reader cannot relax into what is around the next bend in the canal. The action owes much to the unlikely setting of the English Inland Waterways and the live-aboard life on a canal narrowboat (of which the author has had many years of experience).
