Let There Be Earth

Amidst eternity, long before it was upon a time in an ocean world where no land abounds, Ginika and her two naughty friends continued to transgress the laws of Azu by sneaking away from their humble community under the ocean world to the surface of the ocean to enjoy the forbidden effect of tidal breeze and sunlight.
“Lift me high! Lift me higher! Why do I feel heavier outside of water? My tail, which is supposed to help me swim in the air, is pulling me down!” Ginika shouted, parting her lips to expose her clenched, tiny, sharp-edged teeth. «Lift me higher! The flap of my tail still touches water.”
The wind blew fast, and her lustrous skin began to dry away from its usual deep blue—striped, greyish Sibrean colour into a dark shade of grey. Suddenly she began to feel a burning sensation all over her skin, and her fins and talons began to hurt. Shortly she began to jerk, probably from air poisoning; her friends thought, after all, she was determined to bear the pain for as long as possible to get her desired result.
Eventually, mischievous Ginika and her two naughty friends were captured by the army of the kingdom of Uwamaka. Chained from head to tail and taken to the kingdom that despised her kind and sought every opportunity to subdue them. They were condemned to death unless their elders willingly took their place.
Will the mothers of Lankaviri make haste to save their kids in spite of their husbands' quest for peace, or will the kids connive with the kids from the kingdom to discover means to transform irreversibly into a being on legs and task their parents to create land for them to dwell on?
Let There Be Earth is a story of mermaids in their most possible true form of existence. It tells the story of Ginika, whose trespass brought a fight between the two kingdoms of Azu and revealed the truth about their ancestors, which was hidden in plain sight for more than a hundred years.
