Mobile adhoc network is an autonomous system of mobile nodes connected by wireless links; each node operates as an end system and a router for all other nodes in the network.The phrase ad-hoc originates from Latin, which means “for this or for this only”. This book provides a brief discussion on mobile ad-hoc networking, associated topics, applications, and challenges with a particular focus on communication mechanisms of ad-hoc networking.
