Neonatologist Gabriel Dalgleish is passionate about his tiny patients, and highly demanding about their care. It seems as if they are the only people he really cares for. Except for Maddie. The new medical secretary slips through Gabriel's defences, right to his vulnerable heart, making him realise everything he's missed out on in life.
