Joseph Conrad is better known for his long expedition novels; however, the short stories written by Conrad are equally interesting and educating. Several of his short stories have been highly admired and widely read around the world.
Conrad used to have his short stories published in magazines and papers, but eventually when he came to be recognized as a novel writer his stories began to be presented in anthologies.
The present novella “The Secret Sharer” is often prescribed in the course of study for the students of English literature at numerous schools and colleges. The story was written in the year 1909.
