A sequel to Ninety-nine Newfies, Ninety-nine MORE Newfies is a collection of first-person accounts written by the owners of 99 Newfoundland dogs. Through the eyes of their owners, the reader is given glimpses into what daily life with a Newfie can entail. Whether alerting their people to oncoming seizures and falls, bringing calm to students in classrooms, providing comfort to patients in hospitals, or simply creating laughter and joy for family members, the stories demonstrate how these sweet-tempered gentle giants relate to and show their devotion to the people who love them. While all 99 of the dogs featured in these stories are Newfoundlands, the book will appeal to anyone who loves dogs. Most of the stories are approximately four pages long and range from the heroic, to the tender, to the laugh-out-loud humorous. The color photos on the front and back covers of the book feature two of the dogs whose stories are told in the book. The 14 additional small black and white photos in the interior introduce more of the protagonists of these stories. While most of the stories originate in the USA and Canada, other countries are represented, as well. The Newfoundland Club of America Charitable Trust will receive 50% of the profits from this book to support Newfoundland Health Research.
