Kaslin Drebb, a puppeteer, finds solace in her intricate electro-marionettes — creations of salvaged clockwork, copper wire, and defiant artistry. One tempestuous night, Arlo, one of her creations, awakens.  He moves with an unscripted grace, his clockwork heart beating with a life of its own.  And he is invisible to the Regime’s all-seeing eye.
Arlo’s sentience reveals a crack in the Regime’s digital dominion, a vulnerability that draws Kaslin into the clandestine world of the resistance.  She joins forces with Elara Vance, a grizzled ex-engineer haunted by her past, and Silas Finch, whose words ignite the embers of hope in the oppressed.  Together, they forge a network of hackers, inventors, and artists, wielding analog technology as their weapon against the digital overlords.
