Vic reads about a man-eating plant in Madagascar. She doubts it is true but the search will make a good story. Pirates try to kill her on the way. She is thrown into a wilderness without supplies. Thugs attack her in the street. She finds a mysterious canyon where there are things that should not exist. By the time she squeaks out, the geography of Madagascar has been altered!
