Having survived a devastating hurricane on the east coast of the United States, and solving the mystery of missing and murdered travel nurses, Piper Quinn and Jeannie Hatcher are reluctant to leave their summer home after their travel assignment is complete. Adventures await them on other assignments, but they decide to stay on Oak Island to rest and help the people devastated by the storm. They expect the next three months to be a lot less dramatic than the last three.
What they don’t expect is to get sucked into another mystery on their first day off. Innocently, when they decide to help collect and dispose of debris strewn around the island, they unwittingly pick up evidence left behind by an unknown killer.
When they set up a first aid clinic to help people displaced by the storm, they are asked to help find a missing woman and become entangled in a mystery of missing and murdered women they know they have to solve before they leave the island.
Somehow, with the assistance of their new friends in law enforcement, they’ve got to try, before time runs out for all of them.
