Beautifully written, richly flows, couldn’t wait to go to bed so I could read into the wee hours! Her words brought tears to my eyes & joy to my heart. A genuine coming of age story in a fascinating setting that is peculiar, strange & yet familiar. As we all have characters in our families that made Rainy’s family feel as familiar to us as our own weird but wonderful life stories. It is so appealing because the attachments & relationships are just as real in Rainy’s world as they would be in a quasi normal suburban family, you never know what truly happens behind closed doors more under a big red tent. Family is not always what you’re born into, it is what you make with what you have & what you can create. Highly recommend !
