ATHANASIUS wrote some of the first classic works of developed Orthodox theology in existence, opposing Pagan practices and beliefs, while teaching about the spiritual redemption of mankind through God's Word. Also, Athanasius backs up the Bible that the Son of God, the eternal Word through whom God created the world, entered that world in human form to lead men back into the harmony with their Creator from which they had earlier fallen away.
