There is a wonderful square - Lyabi Hauz is pretty much in the centre of town and is a hive of activity. It was originally built around a pool that still exists, in 1620.

Not far from the Chorsu Bazaar is the Kulkedash Medressa, well worth a visit. Although it has been restored many times (thanks to earthquakes) the medressa dates back to the 16th century.
