Trying to be graceful in a less than graceful world.
Do you ever see those humorous images that show the first picture titled, ‘What I Think I Look Like’ followed by the image that shows the cold hard truth of, ‘What I Really Look Like’? For me, I can completely relate to those scenarios. I imagine life to be elegant and movie-like, but the reality is a completely different story. The Dessert Tray and Other Stories feature a few of these humorous, and oh-so-true vignettes, of the everyday. Sometimes we have these graceful images of life only to realize we’re living in an ungraceful and often comical world. It isn’t glamorous, but it can be funny. I hope you enjoy these very short stories. Who knows, you may even see something familiar in them. You may see a small slice of your life here, too.
The Dessert Tray and Other Stories is about 3,000 words and contains four very short stories followed by four elegant, but simple to prepare tea recipes –
for the common life that deserves a touch of elegance.
