The highly-anticipated and brilliantly crafted crime-thriller sequel to the no.1 debut of 2019, A GOOD GIRL'S GUIDE TO MURDER

Pip Fitz-Amobi is determined that the media won’t rewrite the truth of the local murder case that she and Ravi Singh solved last year. So she releases a true crime podcast covering the events, as she knows they happened. It unexpectedly goes viral, and her following grows every day.

But then someone Pip knows goes missing and it turns out her town has more than one dark secret to hide. As she uncovers and reveals those secrets, this time, EVERYONE is listening.

This book was a truly transformative experience for me. The writing was engaging and skillfully crafted, pulling me into a whirlwind of suspense as I navigated through its intriguing twists and turns. I was captivated by the plot, which kept me guessing about who was behind the unfolding events.

What stood out the most was the extraordinary character development, particularly of the protagonist, Pip. Her struggles with haunting memories from her previous case added emotional depth to the story. I felt a deep connection to her journey of self-discovery and the challenges she faced.

The ending was especially impactful; I was fully immersed in Pip’s emotions, experiencing her journey alongside her. This book is, without a doubt, the best in the series for me, as I found a strong connection to both the characters and the plot. It’s an exceptional work of fiction that stays with you long after you finish reading.

She stayed there, clicking through for hours, jumping from article to article, comment to comment. And it was with her too, of course. It always was.

    The gun.

It was here now, beating within her chest, knocking against her ribs. Aiming with her eyes. It was in nightmares, and crashing pans, and heavy breaths, and dropped pencils, and thunderstorms, and closing doors, and too loud, and too quiet, and alone and not, and the ruffle of pages, and the tapping of keys and every click and every creak.

    The gun was always there.

    It lived inside her now.
