. It is not the awareness that I am a sinner that leads me to worship Jesus. It is the awareness that I am forgiven.

Grace, properly understood, does not result in a license to sin. Grace results in gratitude.

In the kingdom of God your position does not depend on your performance. Your position was purchased by Christ.

Sin always takes us further than we want to go, and it keeps us there longer than we want to stay.

He loves us as we are but doesn’t leave us as we are.

Don’t just give him part of your life. Give him all you’ve got. After all, he gave it to you in the first place. He desires to have a real, intimate relationship with you. He is not mad at you. He is madly in love with you. He has paid every debt you ever owed and ever will. And when you let Jesus have all of your life and let him be your king, you will no longer be building on sand but on the immovable, unshakeable, eternal Rock.

Once you are aware of what he paid, it doesn’t lead you away from him, it leads you straight to him.

Jesus forgives the woman based upon her faith. Yet even faith is the result of grace. The Bible tells us that we are dead in our sin, and a dead person can’t have faith. Even faith, then, is a gift from God.

In fact, you might define spiritual growth as the process of becoming more Savior-conscience than sin-conscience.

The more we focus our eyes on God’s amazing grace, the more we grow in our faith
