Far into the north of Siberia lies a town that has been abandoned for decades; a town called Novoya Zima. After classified documents are unearthed by the Russian government on its previous colonization, a lone Engineer trooper is sent to inhabit the town for a year to repair the electrical grid.
Yuri Rudov follows his orders north and takes to the job as any dutiful soldier would. But his convictions and loyalties are challenged when he begins to discover fragments of the past that piece together the events that led to the abandoning of Novoya Zima. This draws him deep into the haunting reality that lies have brought him here, and that Novoya Zima holds an ancient secret that perverts the laws of nature and make the endless winter he must endure an unparalleled nightmare.
