I was working for a manufacturing firm where i met my wife. She worked in accounting. ONe day after work she confessed to me that she ad been taking money from the company for some time and the auditors had discovered the money was missing. She cried and said she didn't know what to do.
I couldn't believe she might go to jail but decided that I had to protect her. I told her that I was going to confess to taking the money but she would have to give me all the details of how she did it and agree to say that I had been helping her with her accounting work on the weekends that that is how I had access to the funds.
Things happened quickly. The auditors involved the police and I knew it was time to protect my wife. I went to the HR office and confessed to stealing the money. I was immediately fired but was also halled off to jail that very day. The next moring my wife bailed me out with the help of a bail bondsman….
