The remarkable tale of Margaret Jones, a girl from Rhosllannerchrugog who became known throughout Wales during the nineteenth century as the 'Welshwoman of Canaan', as a result of her extensive overseas visits and life abroad. She published two volumes of recollections; Llythyrau Cymraes o Wlad Canaan (1869) and Moroco, a'r hyn a welais yno (1883).
