This novella, The Prophet Ezekiel, was first written about ten years ago and combines elements of emancipation, redemption, searching for truth, deception, and a generous dose of piedmont North Carolina humor. The Prophet Ezekiel tells of a young man’s search for purpose and the avenues he pursues in this quest, including seeking out consorts of a shady evangelist. It is at times insightful, at times ribald, but always pure Gaston County.
