The following compendium of biographies covers those participants in the Alberta political scene who can be construed as being ethnically Mormon. These following persons are, by descent, by marriage, and/or by faith, associated with membership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). The aim of this book is to cover all Mormon candidates at the provincial and federal level in Alberta over the past 120 years. This means that our intention for the first time is to give a list of all candidates. The lives of all candidates who have run for political office in Alberta from 1882 through to 1991 have been researched. The result is a condensed biographical entry of each one. There has been some additional research done from 1991–2010, though not as substantial as for the initial publication, and some updates to the information have been made.
