Be and look prepared. Be a man of integrity. Never break your word. Don’t have two sets of standards. Stand up for your players. Show them you care on and off the court.

Deep down, your players must know you care about them. This is the most important thing. I could never get away with what I do if the players felt I didn’t care for them. They know, in the long run, I’m in their corner.

Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit.
