The Brass Leviathan

1898.  Beneath the Atlantic's shimmering surface, the brass-domed city of Avani thrives, a marvel of steampunk ingenuity.  Here, cartographers chart the ocean's mysteries in submersible vessels, and Corvin Drax, once a celebrated explorer, seeks solace from a past tragedy in the rhythmic clang of his workshop. But the discovery of an ancient map, etched onto bioluminescent coral, shatters his quiet existence.  The map depicts the legendary Brass Leviathan, a sentient machine whispered to hold the key to limitless energy, rekindling Avani's hopes and Corvin's buried ambition.
The map's revelation ignites a race for power among Avani's city-states, each vying to claim the Leviathan for their own. Thrust back into the limelight, Corvin finds himself caught in a treacherous game of political intrigue, his conscience warring with the seductive promise of redemption.  Seeking an alternative perspective, he partners with Nyssa Faraday, a brilliant marine biologist whose reverence for the ocean's delicate balance stands in stark contrast to Avani's insatiable hunger for progress.
