<!doctype html public «-//w3c//dtd html 4.0 transitional//en»> http-equiv=content-type> This work is the first detailed study of the concept of faith in the early Kierkegaard. It not only examines his writings and relevant notes from his student days, but also the philosophical-theological sources and presuppositions that formed the basis for his thinking. The study clearly shows that many important aspects and elements of the philosopher’s later theories of faith had already taken form during the time of Kierkegaard's studies as a theology student.
