If your computer is really slow or behaving oddly, or if you simply want a fresh start, then try to let Windows 10 reinstall itself. It is also a good idea to do, if you are in the process of selling your computer. During a reinstallation, you have the opportunity to effectively delete all of your personal files, so that you can safely hand it over to a stranger.

In Windows you will find a function called File History, which can automatically backup your files. It is very easy: Simply plug in an external hard drive to your computer once in a while and your important files will be backed up without you having to do anything at all.

You can easily use your computer doing other things while you download one or more apps. If you want to keep track of how far the download is, just click on the downward facing arrow in the top right corner in Store. Once the app is downloaded it will install on your computer. You can then find the program in your start menu under All apps.
Apart from apps, you can also purchase and rent movies and tv-series in Store. Select the Movies & TV fan in the top of the program and explore the content. Rented movies will be available for 30 days. Once you first start watching the movie, the remaining period is shortened to 48 hours and will then expire.

You can change the size of the start menu by pulling on the edges of the start menu – just like when you change the size of a program window.

SpaceSniffer can visualize exactly what files fills up the most space on your computer. It shows your folders and files as tiles where the size is proportional with the content. This way, you quickly find the files that fill up the most space.

    Get the Office-programs for free
You most likely know the popular programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, developed by Microsoft. You may also know that the programs are now sold as subscriptions called Office 365. What you may not be aware of is that you can get all the programs free of charge. Moreover, it is completely legal!
Microsoft has created some simple app-versions of the programs available for free to everyone. These apps are optimized for use on computers with touch screens, but can also be used with a mouse and keyboard.
You can find and install the three apps from the program Store. Once the programs are downloaded, you can open them via the start menu under All apps.

In order to get the most out of Windows 10 you will need a Microsoft-account. It is free and it provides you with several advantages.
You use your Microsoft-account to log on to your computer. If more users are using the same computer, you can have separate Microsoft-accounts.
The account is also used to access all Microsoft online services – including, OneDrive, Office 365 and outlook.com (formerly hotmail.com). You only have to remember one password. All of these services are built into Windows and once you have logged on to your computer with your Microsoft-account, you are automatically logged in to all services.
Likewise, you will need your Microsoft-account when downloading apps in the Store. You can use a credit card for your account, if you want to buy apps. In addition, the account can be used for purchasing movies, TV-series or Xbox games in other online Microsoft stores.
If you have more than one computer, you can use the same account for all of them. Your settings, such as, background image and colour theme is automatically synchronized on your computers, for a personalized experience.
You will get the opportunity to create a Microsoft-account during setup when starting your new computer or upgrading from an older version of the operating system. If you oppose the recommendations of Microsoft and instead choose a local account, you can later change to a Microsoft-account by opening the start menu and selecting Settings > Accounts > Your Account > Sign in with a Microsoft Account instead.

There will be limitations to some of your Microsoft-accounts functions, if the mail-address you use for the setup is not a Microsoft-account. It is recommended that you create a new e-mail for the purpose or that you use an address that ends with @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com or @msn.com.
